Magnifier.

The magnifier in windows vista is easy to use. It is effective for low vision students because it allows them to see things on the screen more clearly.

First go to the start menu and type ease into the search bar.


Ease of Access center will pop up click on that.

Then click on the start Magnifier button.



Then a window will pop up that magnifies whatever it is held over. You can change the size of it by clicking and dragging on the sides.

I chose my blog site as my main way to keep in touch with the teaching world and to learn about what other teachers are doing. I choose this because it allows me to see many different teacher blogs and keep track of all of them in one place. Their are many different blogs that teachers use and they provide a personal perspective of their own classroom. Which is helpful to a teacher in training like myself. These are a few helpful blogs that I found.

Communication Tools: Edmodo

This activity was a group of people exploring a communication tool while only being able to communicate online. The tool that our group explored is edmodo.


This website is basically a twitter or facebook for educational purposes. Teachers and students can both sign up for an account. Teachers can post assignments for both students and parents and students can post feedback on things that they do or don't understand.

An example of how it can be used is if you have a spelling assignment for your class you can post it to edmodo and there parents can access it at home and know exactly what they are supposed to do for homework.

This activity is an example of effectiveness and enhancement because it shows the kids that play it an effective way to identify plants and animals and they enjoy playing the game more so than if I were to give them a worksheet or lecture to them so they will be able to identify plants and animals more effectively .

This website helps create rubrics for various different subjects.

This pertains to efficiency because it provides templates for rubrics that I would otherwise have to create by myself which would take a lot more time.

In this game you are a cowboy in charge of rounding up bad guys that have the same definition of a certain word that you see at the beginning of the game such as fluid---liquid.

This website is an example of effectiveness because it helps kids build vocabulary and they don't mind doing it because it is a game.

This video is a short biography about Earnest Hemingway that describes his life and his accomplishments.

This video is an example of enhancement because it gives us a brief description of a man that many students don't know much about. For example I had no idea that Hemingway committed suicide but after watching the slideshow now I know.
